FORMER LIEUTENANT OF CHISAGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ENDORSES BRANDON THYEN FOR SHERIFF

I have known Brandon Thyen since 1999 when he started as a Deputy Sheriff with the Chisago County Sheriff's Department. At that time, I was in Administration at the Sheriff's Department. I was on the hiring board and Thyen was hired based on his solid character and qualifications. He lived up to and exceeded expectations as an Officer.

In 1999 I oversaw the Sheriff's Office Contract Police Services including Stacy, MN, where Thyen served. Again he did an exemplary job in his position.

He later became the Jail Administrator for over a decade. That was a challenging position as the jail was overcrowded and did not comply with the State of MN Department of Corrections standards. Thyen made it work!

The Chisago County Board appointed Brandon Thyen as the Sheriff when a vacancy occurred. The Board undoubtedly put much thought into that appointment.

Without hesitation I encourage Chisago County residents to Vote Brandon Thyen your next Sheriff.
