Endorsement from retired Chief Deputy Chuck Raabe of Chisago County Sheriff's Office

FORMER CHIEF DEPUTY OF CHISAGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ENDORSES BRANDON THYEN FOR SHERIFF

As the former chief deputy of Chisago County, I hired Brandon approximately 20 years ago. Brandon has worked himself through the sheriff’s office over the past 20 years as a road deputy working daily with the citizens of Chisago County.

He was then promoted to jail administrator and serve in that capacity until being promoted to chief deputy. This promotion gave him total responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the entire sheriff’s office. During that time, he oversaw the building of a new jail, communications center, and the relocation of the sheriff’s office to the new jail facility.

He was then appointed Sheriff by the county board, which is the position he now holds. Considering Brandon’s 20 years in the sheriff’s office and the various supervising positions that he has held, as well as the strong support of the sheriff’s deputies he is currently supervising, I believe that he is the most qualified candidate. I support his election to continue as the Sheriff of Chisago County.
