Retired Captain Keith Hoppe Supports Thyen for Sheriff
I have known Brandon Thyen for more than 20 years. I met Brandon when he started his career as a Rush City Police Officer. Brandon started his work with the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office in 1998. As one of his field training officers (FTO’S) I could see that Brandon had the passion, knowledge, drive and integrity for the job. Brandon worked as a contract car assigned to the city of Stacy. He attended council meetings and tracked the hours for billing the city. Brandon’s knowledge, passion and hard work helped him move up the chain of command. He took over the jail division in charge of all corrections and dispatch personnel. He was also in charge of the budget for these divisions.
Brandon is also active in our community coaching youth hockey among other things. He has strong family values and treasures his wife Kelly and their two children. I have the pleasure of being a friend of Brandon’s, spending time fishing with him. Brandon also enjoys competing in triathlons and marathons.
Brandon is the only candidate that has the leadership, supervisory and budgetary experience to lead the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office.
I am happy to call Brandon a friend and to endorse him for Chisago County Sheriff.
